Always a delight - fresh, real, whole food made from scratch; small, charming environment; once you've had the oxtails plate, you'll dream about them! Lol Also, try the homemade juices (cucumber ginger is our fave); be aware that you should show up at least an hour before close to dine in, as supplies run out sometimes. Honorable mention: sweet potato cheesecake!! Do NOT pass this little gem up!!!

The staff is very rude and there were bugs and hair in our food. I recommend the pizza joint across the street instead. That's where we went after waiting an hour on food and there was only 1 other customer in the restaurant. So, I'm pretty sure the horrible service, wait time and disgusting food was on purpose. BEWARE

Didn't get a chance to actually taste the food, because and I kept in consideration that it was Father's day. Pulled up, noticed curbside and takeout. Menu on door, took picture of it and called. 1st time I called, they hung up on me. 2nd time put me on hold for 10 minutes, then hung up. 3rd time, I was told that they wasn't taking anymore orders. Waited for 40 mins for nothing. Had heart set on food, maybe I'll try again 1 day

I ordered the jerk chicken dinner. The flavors were great. Plantains were a nice added bonus. The chicken was a bit over cooked on this instance. I hope that's not routine though. There is only one other restaurant that I go to for jerk chicken.(It's not in Macon) however, it is nice to get Caribbean food here in Macon.

Stopped here for dinner driving from Savannah last week. Beautiful decor, great service, and delicious food!! Every Jamaican restaurant is NOT the same...this is authentic Caribbean cuisine. If I'm ever in the area I am coming back.

An Amazing place food is great my favorite oxtails. I have one problem if it's states you're open Friday and I pull up on Friday, and you're closed second time that has happened. Tired of it.

I just waited for two hours for them to tell me that the cook had not started on my order, so I left. Don't waste your time. The service is horrible and they are not even considerate enough to let you know what's going on. Complete waste of two hours.

So let me begin with a disclaimer, I’m Jamaican. The food was outstanding for an American twist on Jamaican food. I will be back. The staff very attentive but not bothersome.

I was very impressed with this restaurant. I've known of its existence for a few years, but never ventured to the area to try it. I was on Ingleside this past Friday and decided to dine in. The ambiance gives you the feeling of sitting in a friend's kitchen. Its small and cozy. The food was delicious. I had the oxtail, rice and beans, and cabbage. The oxtails were so tender that they literally fell off the bone. I've never tasted cabbage so delectable. The staff was nice and courteous. With so many restaurants leaving south Macon, I know I'll be returning since its not so far out the way for me. You will not be disappointed!

Best Oxtails in Macon. They hardly answer the phone when they are busy so they could be missing sales by missing calls. When I went the manager had an attitude but I understand the pressures of running a business but I think he should work on his attitude towards paying customers

Always have a pleasant experience here. Some of the best food ever. Been a loyal customer here for over 8 years (including the old location). I live in another state but always come for great food when I'm back in town

As a child of Jamaican parents, I know a lil something about Jamaican food. It's often imitated but never duplicated. I've been disappointed by many places claiming to have good AUTHENTIC Jamaican food but this place is the real deal. Even the service is good which is where alot of restaurants are lacking. I've been here more times then I can count and it's good every time. I love their fresh lemonade as well.

Fantastic food. If your in Macon this is a must. I love the Jerk Chicken and the wings are the best in town. My sister likes the Garlic Shrimp and plantains. When we're in the mood to share we get the whole Snapper. The meals are plentiful and more than fairly priced. Lisa and Steve S.

My first time getting meal from here. First, I dealt with the fact that they add an extra 10% surcharge on your order. But secondly, it took forever even though I called 30 minutes ahead. To top it off the food had no flavor, shrimp aweful and Jerk chicken weak. My hubby and I just threw $33 out the window. Maybe not, we threw it in their window (Lol)

I did a take out order at 2:14 pm pulled up at 2:30 pm got there they told me it was 2 people ahead of me for curb side i was cool with that but time past 4 cars came and gone its now 3:43 and still haven't got my food so I just pulled off i waited for a hour I will never go there again

I love this restaurant!! Very nice place to get jerk and curry chicken! The owner is really nice he'll always come out and speak with you. The dining room is very pretty to come in and eat. Depends on what time you come there's hard to find parking but other than that I love this place!!

Well, this was my first time coming here with a girlfriend and, if I could give them 10 stars I would! The service was great and the food was amazing! The manager let us taste the rice and beans for free before we ordered. You don’t experience that everyday! With other customers who were more than likely first timers he did the same. LGBT friendly. I had the jerk chicken and she had the oxtails! Amazing!

I love it here! Macon doesn't have much of a healthy and thoughtful eating sector but FOJ hits the spot. I love the location and I think anyone could find an entree they would enjoy on the menu.Great food with healthy options. Everything was fresh. Service was great. We went in the early afternoon, so we were served quickly.

Nice authentic Caribbean restaurant with very friendly and accommodating service. The jerk and curry are more spiced than spicy, with huge portions plated elegantly.Fresh juices that are delicious, and wonderful desserts. Truly the best carrot cake I have ever had.Most unique of all is the red snapper, fried and served whole. A true feast if you are up for it.

Amazing flavors and welcoming atmosphere! They have many signature dishes that you honestly can't find anywhere else in Macon. Hosts and waiters are always very kind and prompt to provide service. Would highly recommend for large groups looking to explore some new flavors. When I don't have much time I order some plates to go. Can't go wrong with their menu options.

Amazing Caribbean flavors. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful. Gave suggestions on what to try. We had the jerk ribs, curry chicken, and tropical shrimp, as well as honey ginger and jerk wings. And plantains! Everything was fresh, made to order, and delicious. Go eat here. Be aware, they are open Thurs thru Sunday, so plan accordingly. Absolutely delicious!

I don't eat spicy food, but my cousin's birthday so it was her choice. Prices sorta high...$6.00 for a wine glass of juice.

I have been plenty of times and really enjoyed the food. Today I went and they said it's an hour wait. For me that was not a problem. However she wouldn't even take my order, I understand that y'all are busy but to refuse more order when I'm ready to pay and come back for it is a issue for me so they don't have to worry about me coming back to their establishment again.

Awesome experience.. customer service was awesome and prices were very decent for the quality and quantity.. once again had no complaints on customer service at all.. i would recommend they add pictures to their menu for at least some of the best-sellers only because carribean food isnt a mainstream seller in this location... and just to be warned ahead of time they automatically apply thr 20% gratuity fee to your bill no matter what you ordered and they apparently still expect a tip lol

Poor customer service by owner. Owner threatened to call police if I did not pay a $3.40 gratuity fee, although my party consisted of two people, waitress only took our order and the name "James" was listed on our ticket. I shared this info with the owner, but he refused to remove charge and charged my credit card. I do not recommend anyone visit this establishment.

The food is good if you haven't been to ANY other Caribbean restaurant. I ordered jerk chicken with the sauce on the side, couldn't get it on the side. When I got my plate I had one chicken leg and four ribs. The manager is rude. After we ate I went to the front to order some ginger beer to go. Walked to bar with money in my hand the cashier looked at me and continued her conversation with her friend who was sitting at the bar in front of the register. It took the waiter to stop waiting on tables to come over and tell her after 10 minutes of waiting. The ginger beer was awesome, the food.....Try somewhere anywhere else and compare. I wont be back for good, I'll stop in to by the ginger beer if I cant find it elsewhere.

The absolute best food!! Especially on a Friday night with your girls! We needed to make a few changes and the owner made sure we were accommodated. The best service and the food is soooooo good! You must come enjoy the experience!

My food was amazing!! The Fried Fish was seasoned perfectly. The sides were and excellent compliment for it. This was my first time trying a whole fish like this and I was pleased. My cousin had the Oxtails and she was also pleased with her meal. My only complaint is i needs to be more transparent that all natural juices have ginger in them and are non refundable if you don’t like them. Also beware that a gratuity is already added to your ticket for dine in customers.

So much food! Definitely worth the price. The servers are very chill and laid back which I love. Get the jerk chicken it is amazing! But the chocolate cake.. oh my that chocolate cake.. I dream about that cake... it was SO GOOD!

We ordered the oxtail, and the curry chicken! All of the meat just fell off the bone! James and his team really take pride in this beautiful restaurant! The hospitality, the food, the atmosphere, everything was a 10/10! If you’re in the area, you really need to stop by and enjoy what this place has to offer!

We decided to try something different and my son picked this restaurant for Caribbean cuisine, which we had never tried before. The staff were very kind and friendly. They helped us choose from the menu, as we really didn't know anything about Caribbean food. Lol... Everything we tried was delicious and the plates were very full and presented beautifully! I truly hope we get a chance to go again before we leave town. If only they weren't so far from Oregon!! 😊😊
